Here are a few fun pictures from the AI Finals! I Love the show and have been watching from the beginning, funny now that I get to go and watch my very own American Idol perform on the show! It was a great day and What I like to call a full circle moment, since Jason and I did go to CBS studios to watch a taping in the justin and Kelly era! Jason is wearing a Blend Apparel shirt.

ANTM

I shot a Top model this week! Elina from cycle 11. Randall (slavin) and I were obsessed with this girl on the show, even when Trya gave her that red curly weave, she stilled rocked it. Elina was one of the most beautiful girls they have had on that show and she has been working 2 waitress jobs in seattle, shooting a catalog here and there! Just goes to show reality TV doesn't always make you famous! But NOW...she's back in LA, testing and starting fresh. (she has removed all the top model shoots in her book) and going to be big! Here are a few of the shots..

ah Ya Ya

I shot last week with one of my favorite LA based photographers Randall Slavin This photo life The beautiful Ya Ya. As a makeup artist I'm always conflicted with wanted to "make a statement" when chosing the look of the shoot, Which is easy when the location, clothing and accessories lend to a more fashionie feel. but in this case where we are just shooting a women with minimal stuff, I always find I'm happier when I make less of a "statement" and just make her look F..in gorgeous! (not a hard job in this case!) The make up used: Armani foundation NARS Orgasm/Laguna Blush Bronzer Duo Guerlain liquid liner ( blogged about it before) Daily dose Beauty shadows trio sunkissed, medallion, mink Dior Show mascara, but first of course the shuuemura lash curler (my favorite tool) Daily dose Beauty lipshine- tan and gloss- shy

Guy Hepner Los Angeles

Guy Hepner Los Angeles and Los Angeles based artist Neal Spector announce October 23, 2008 as the formal opening of Labels. Los Angeles based, Detroit native Neal Spector is no stranger to the limelight. Before commencing work as an artist, Spector was one of the founding creatives behind one of Hollywood's biggest creative firms. Years of exposure to both television and conspicuous consumption inspired him to create the 'Labels' body of work. Taking the television show 'What's My Line?' as his cue, Spector's work is a curious mix of influences. References to Richard PrinceJenny Holzer and Barbara Kruger all exist, creating powerful portraits that convey a telling critique on the society we live in. Spector works in both color and black and white, using digitally manipulated original source imagery and vintage photography.
